Please note that due to the Museum closure as a result of Covid 19  there will be a delay in all enquiries as they now work through the back log.

Enquiries will be dealt with in the order they were received.  Please allow at least 2 months from the time you submit an enquiry before you receive a response.

The archives are currently closed to the public. All enquiries will be dealt with via post, email or telephone.

The Museum accepts research enquiries relating primarily to the 38th, 64th, 80th and 98th Regiments of Foot, the South and North Staffordshire Regiments,  and The Staffordshire Regiment. The enquiry should be for military information of the unit and/or for an individual soldier who served with the unit. We have limited information on local militias, local volunteer units and the current Mercian Regiment.

We ask you for a donation if you wish to use our research services. All monies raised help to fund the museum, its archives and its services. When making your donation please consider Gift Aiding.

A small team of volunteers carry out the research activities each Thursday. Please provide a contact address, email and telephone number in case you need to be contacted to clarify your requirement or to rearrange a visit.
