We are happy to receive enquiries by post or by email along with your donation. An enquiry takes time to complete and it is possible that LITTLE OR NO INFORMATION will be found. Your donation covers search time spent, and not the results found.
A small team of volunteers carry out the research activities. Please provide a contact address, email and telephone number in case you need to be contacted to clarify your requirement or to rearrange a visit.

A visit for personal research is available by appointment only and can be booked by email.
We do not have the resources to offer any help with research or allow access to the archive without an appointment.
A donation of £30.00 can be made by cheque payable to The Staffordshire Regiment Museum. Alternatively, you can donate by contacting the Museum directly.
For this donation you will receive up to one hour of our time to research and respond to you. If we believe we need more than one hour for the task, we will contact you to agree a time/cost limit.
Please bear in mind that your donation directly helps fund the museum and its archive. We aim to do the research and reply to you within three weeks.
If you are a UK tax payer please consider selecting the gift aid option, at no extra cost to yourself, so that the Staffordshire Regiment Museum can claim additional funds from HMRC on your donation.
We do not hold service, pension or medical records. If these survived, they would be at The National Archives, which is open to the public.
We have access to surviving records and some medal entitlements via a subscription-based history website.
All service documentation is held by the Ministry of Defence. An application (and fee paid) has to be made to the MOD.
