Covid 19 Update
After achieving our ‘Good to Go’ certificate from Visit England, we reopened the Museum on Saturday 14th August.
We have introduced a number of changes to our operating procedures to ensure that you can enjoy your visit as safely as possible. Please take the time to download and read the Visitor Information sheet provided for you before you arrive on site.
There is a clearly marked out one-way route around the Museum, to support social distancing requirements. In addition there will also be cleaning stations provided. A new capacity limit has also been introduced for the main museum building. Please be patient with our staff if you are asked to wait upon arrival before admittance. All visitors will be asked to provide personal details for track and trace purposes. We would also like to ask all our visitors to wear a face mask when they are inside the main museum building.
Please follow government advice when planning a visit to the Museum. If you or any of your household have any of the recognised symptoms of Covid-19, please do not visit the Museum.
The museum is open from 10am – 3pm* Monday-Sunday including Bank Holidays
A Christmas Closure will take place from December 21st until the first Monday in the New Year.
Please note- There are sometimes occasional closures at the museum. Please check the website or contact the museum before you make your visit.
